I'm Bob. I've been entertaining at senior communities for more than a dozen years, specializing in songs of the American Songbook from the 1920s through the 1950s and '60s, what many people call "oldies". Lately I've been adding some Beatles, Elvis, and Hank Sr. to the mix of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bing Crosby. Folks sing, clap their hands, tap their toes and dance to these songs sung and played live on guitar.

All music has a history and touches people in many different ways, so I engage listeners with facts and stories about the songs and singers. Now and then I play the guitar behind my head to demonstrate what I call "guitar pilates"". The audience always gets a kick out of that! Plus, it keeps me limber.
